Key Accountabilities / Activities:
Purpose of Role:
QA analyst is required to create and execute test scripts / cases and
validate expected results and log defects. This position will oversee
effective testing of all components, including consulting, development,
execution and enhancement / maintenance of project testing and quality
assurance.
Responsibilities:
- This results-oriented individual must work well both independently
and as a part of a team.
- Develop test cases that meet user test requirements.
- Perform application testing, with an emphasis on the financial service
industry.
- Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for testing process.
- Document variances for any discrepancies.
- Provide advice/guidance to less experienced staff
- Participate in system design specifications: system architecture,
application and database designs
- Compliant with Audit requirements
Requirements:
Business, Relational and / or Technical Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Extensive work experience as a lender or adjudicator.
- Experience with implementation, maintenance and use of automated testing
tools (WinRunner or similar) would be an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of test methodology.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to multi-task and with a sense of urgency.
- Proven analytical and decision making skills, as well as, good business
and communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear
and concise information using appropriate technical and business language.
- A proven success in handling multiple activities/projects as well
as conflicting demands and priorities effectively under time constraints.
- Customer focused, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently
to user and production application issues.
